The Boondockers, will be appearing, for the 5th year, at the 5th annual
International Washboard Festival, in Logan, Ohio, June 17-19, 2005.

In the past, several DJML members have come to the festival and enjoyed the
fun.  The festival is free and the small home-town atmosphere is charming.
Think "The Music Man" & River City, IA.

 The Washboard Music Festival is a 3 day extravaganza held in the streets of
small town America.
The festival's focus is on celebrating the enduring role the washboard has
had on a variety of music styles, from jazz to jug band. The annual festival
provides wholesome entertainment. You'll hear bands from all around the
country, take part in a classic car show, enjoy
good food from local venders, browse quality crafts, watch parades, and
learn from
educational events for the entire family. Children will enjoy an entire city
block of
rides, games and interactive activities, at the Children's fair!
In addition to live entertainment and sampling great local food, you can
take factory tours of the Columbus Washboard Company. The last manufacturer
of washboards
in the country and also home to the WORLDS LARGEST WASHBOARD!
Vendors selling musical & decorative washboards, as well as craft items made
from washboards, will be set up for you to take home a part of history .
This
years festival will feature a Quilt Show at the Bowen House. Unique local
artists and craft
vendors will line the streets. Visit the Washboard Festival Store tent at
the corner
of Main & Market streets to purchase Washboard Music Festival items!
So get back to your roots this summer. Come visit a truly unique festival
that you and your family will make a annual tradition.
