A few months ago Clevedon Jazz Club initiated a free e-mail based venue 
search facility, for bands planning UK tours, on the Club's web site - 
www.clevedonjazzclub.co.uk. The service was publicized in the jazz press 
and a general call made for venues with e-mail addresses to register with 
the service.

Although there was a good response and the service has got of the ground, 
there is plenty of room for more venues, especially in Scotland and 
Northern Ireland. Registration is simple -  just log on to 'venue ?' From 
the 'links' page at www.clevedonjazzclub.co.uk or send the venue name, 
town, contact name and e-mail address to me at trev at clevedonjazzclub.co.uk 
or to Clevedon Jazz Club, c/o Walton Park Hotel, Wellington Terrace, 
Clevedon, Somerset.

The service, accessed from the 'venue ?' button on the 'links' page of the 
www.clevedonjazzclub.co.uk site, allows bands from anywhere in the world to 
select and print a .pdf copy of the registered venues listed in 9 separate 
regions of the UK - the North West, the North East, the Midlands, East 
Anglia, the South West, the South East, Scotland, Wales and Northern 
Ireland. The detail given for each venue will be it's name, the town it's 
located in, the name of the contact there and their e-mail address.

This is a free service offered by Clevedon Jazz Club to New Orleans, Trad 
and Mainstream bands which should be of benefit to all bands, both in the 
UK and from abroad, and to all Club's and venues like our own who are 
constantly on the look out for new bands to present to our audiences.

If you know of a venue which is not yet included in the lists then please 
let them know about it so they can register - or do it for them!
