The New Melbourne Jazz Band brought this tune back with them from one of their trips to the USA.  It's on the CD of their 15th anniversary concert (1997), sung by John Murray.  The composer is credited as "Leary".  John Murray can be contacted via listmate, Richard Stevens ( Jazzfact ) or the great one himself, leader, Ross Anderson.
