[Dixielandjazz] Murray McEachern

[Fred Spencer]

Murray McEachern, apart from playing almost any instrument  that was near
him, had a "novelty act" which was actually a "one- man band'. Does anyone
know what he played then, and of other jazz musicians of that ilk--or was it
the province of buskers?
The setup, as I remember it, had a selection of several horns, a harmonica,
and strings within easy reach, and a rhythm section of a small side, and
bass, drum, with cymbals attached to each knee, all manipulated by vigorous
and coordinated arm and leg actions. Google was of limited use.
