There was a film made in 1976 called Lucky Lady, with Gene Hackman, Liza
Minnelli, and Burt Reynolds, which had a few recordings by Bessie Smith,
such as Young Woman Blues, Hot Time in the Ole Town Tonight, found on the
movie soundtrack LP. It's been many years since I saw that movie, but I had
to buy the soundtrack back then, just to hear some of that music I enjoyed
so much in the movie.

As a matter of fact, time to put the LP on the turntable...one more time.
