Steve Barbone wrote in response to my message regarding changing the
subject line to match the content of the text.

what doesn't interest you

Steve et al:

That is exactly my point. If the subject line is not correct, does not
reflect the content of the text, then 100s of Listmates spend time opening
messages that they do not want to open.

Sure, doing it once doesn't hurt anyone. But when it happens over & over
for years, with thousands of messages & hundreds of members, then it becomes
a nuisance.

By the same token, If a message has the incorrect subject line & has the
content in the text that a listmate does want to read & perhaps even
contribute to the discussion, he will not read it because of the incorrect
subject line.

To draw a parallel: if you park in a handicap parking space 99 times, it
may not hurt anything. However, that 100th time may cause an extreme
hardship to someone who needs that space.

We should all be considerate of our fellow listmates.

Instead of defending what you did, even if it is an accident, merely go
about remembering not to do it again.

I am sorry to post these messages regarding the subject lines publicly but,
I am a busy person. I do not have time to sit & write each person
individually over & over. And, I have done that for years. But some people
continue to not change the subject lines.

This message is not just for you Steve, if is for all members.

Best regards,

Bob
