Somebody called this 'an old New Orleans lullaby'. Actually, the reference 
books say it was a hit song from the 1908 musical show "The Three Twins". 
Given the lyrics about scary eyes and terrible hands waiting to grab you 
when you're unaware, it would be more likely to scare kids silly than lull 
them off to sleep!
