Despite my great respect for your musical knowledge,
and the fact that is a great quote which I'll remember,
I beg to differ. 
3/4 means read the notes, the roughly relative
temporal values and get creative.

Some very neat OKOM tunes STARTED
as waltzes.
To wit "When I grow too Old to Dream" etc.
Many others, but I'm too lazy to think up the list.
