[Dixielandjazz] Another great one gone

Don't know if anyone advised the DJML about this yet--didn't see any
postings--but Chicago and Jazz lost another great name recently when
John DeFauw passed away on August 22nd.

John was a very excellent rhyhm guitarist, led several groups, helpted
start Jazz at Five at Andy's Jazz Club, employed a lot of really great
jazz musicians in Chicago.
I'm sure many of you who worked in Chicago knew John.

It's an awful feeling to see these wonderful people go, but go we all
must, I guess.  My concern is who will replace them?  Charlie Hooks
says, "Nobody!"
