Hey Steve....
Have you spoken to Ace about this? Actually, I get all the solo space I
need in both of the bands I play with.
But I would like to have my solos nearer the beginning than after all
the other solos. By the time it's my turn, the tired fingers are wishing
they were a little fresher..
You may not want me in your band anyway, since I rarely play stand-up
bass any more. I almost exclusively play Fender now. (Any complaints about
that will be considered to be an offer to be my roadie).
