You can hear the Jelly Roll Morton record (Red Hot Peppers) of Doctor
Jazz on Real Play at the below link. That wonderful clarinet is Omer
Simeon, who played the last years of his life at Jimmy Ryan's in New
York City with the Wilbur DeParis Band. Record cut December 1926, swings
like crazy. Jelly sings towards the end of the record. (record time
about 3 minutes, 20 seconds)

Omer Simeon and I chatted many times on the sidewalk in front of Ryan's
on breaks in the 1950s, about those early days. Listen to him swing.
Ain't many that played like him.
