Gentlemen & Ladies,
It has become obvious that someone in the Trad Jazz community has a computer
virus. I personally have received several emails from list members
containing the virus. DJML has received several virus messages also. (Note
that the Mailman program will not let a virus go through.)
The chances are that whomever has the virus does not know it. The virus
program has gone into your address book & is sending out messages to your
friends which contain the virus.
I cannot encourage you enough to keep your anti-virus program updated
(current) all of the time. And, if you do not have a virus protection
program, for gawd sakes, get one immediately, if not sooner.
I personally use Norton 2002. I have Norton set to check the Norton web
site constantly to see if there is an update. If there is, my program is
updated immediately. The program is also set to scan all of my outgoing
email for virus'.
