Jim, I have to admit I could be wrong on this.  It was a long time ago; =
and unlike the decorators, I was concentrating on the music.  But I =
think I would have noticed black bow ties....I really don't like =
them...they make the band look like waiters.

     Pat, I have to say that I find this hard to believe...Armstrong and =
his band perfoming with straight ties and different suits.  I defy you =
or anyone to produce a picture of this.  He and the band always wore =
their uniform-suits with black bow ties.
  If what you say is true then there had to be some extenuating =
circumstances.  Anyway, can anyone produce a picture of Armstrong's band =
with different dress and straight ties?
