I'm only too happy to apologize to Mr Levinson, if he did not in fact send
the second message.  However, someone must dislike him very much indeed to
perpetrate this kind of deception; i.e. to add a paragraph to his original
message describing the attachment and to send the e-mail making it appear to
come from Mr Levinson's address, and attaching to it an apparently genuine
.pdf file advertizing his CD.  This is not the work of a virus-writer; if Mr
Levinson did not in fact send the second message then it's a deception
directed at him personally and designed to denigrate him in the eyes of
other list members (in which it certainly succeeded!).

I should like to hear what Mr Levinson himself has to say (but in plain
text, please).  And I promise not to shout any more :-)
