I'm hardly in disagreement with the gentleman who responded, maybe 
thinking I had contacted him myself directly. But of course as well as 
prosperous habitues of jazz events there is some cause to look at the 
general idea, and other musicians bothered by poor health and lack of 
funds ...  Any good news about Ken is most welcome always!

These days of course financial problems are hardly uncommon  aiee!

Thank you for your mail.

What I will write will surprise.
I met Ken Peplowski once at the Moodus Traditional Jazz Camp circa 20 
years ago. I have a lot of respect for him, I like his playing and I 
listen to his videos on Youtube.From Europe from where I write (Geneva) 
there is something I do not understand. Why would a U.S. citizen 
suffering from an illness however heavy and serious the illness may be, 
needs money! Is there not a social security covering the entirety of the 
hospital and doctors? expenses in the U.S.A.?

If there is and the present fund-raising concern a financial help during 
the disease, it is obviously something else.

Now that I write this, I realize that I had in the past run into such 
fund-raising campaigns without paying too much attention, but this time 
I could not refrain from expressing openly my surprise for the reasons 
mentioned above.

Kindly elucidate at your best convenience. My intention is not to 
bother.
