[Dixielandjazz] What's wrong with "jazz" education

I'm attaching a link to  the trumpeter Mike Davis said about his "jazz"
education.  Not that it is anything new - the "educators" know very little
about the foundations of jazz, and care even less!
I've tried to copy some of the text, but it proved impossible to read.
