[Dixielandjazz] Louis Lince died

Way back in 2005 I contacted Louis and with great help from him I published Eurjazz Discos No.147 containing his complete discography.

I updated it in 2014, again with excellent assistance from Louis. He was 77 years old.

Another jazz veteran gone!

He was a very friendly person.  I have never actually met him, but I've corresponded with Louis on and off, and got many interesting tips from him.  Now I'm going to play a record with Louis on banjo in his memory.

Just heard from Harvey Duck.
It is with great sadness that I have to inform you that our dear friend Louis Lince died this afternoon from brain cancer.”
I will write an appreciation of Louis, who was an old friend and colleague. 
May he rest in peace.
