Thanks, Ron;

I'll take a look at SoundForge. Hopefully, it can make the process simpler.

Some software can identify the silence between LP tracks and mark it as a
break. SoundForge lets you put in markers and then change the marked areas
to regions and tracks, Label the tracks and burn it to a CD.

Subject: [Dixielandjazz] Converting LPs to CD

Hi;

Like many of you, I have many LPs which I've purchased over the years.
However, most of my current listening to music is via CDs which are
relatively inexpensive. My turntable is in my office while most of listening
is in the living room via a CD player and, of course, in my car.
To solve this dilemma, I've got the music from the turntable pumping into my
computer's hard drive. Next, I have to burn each individual file onto the CD
burner. Many of my LPs are not available on CD.

The hard work comes in separating each of the songs on the LP and
eliminating pops.

Any suggestions on how to make this process easier?

Thanks,

Stan
