If you are young and energetic and that is what you want to project, stand
up and dance around! If you are older and not so much concerned with that
energy thing, sit down. I have done it both ways since the late 1970s,
there are no rules. I prefer to play tuba sitting down, but I can still
play Sousaphone or Helicon standing up sometimes.
