Press Release – Top International Clarinet star returns to the Arc, Old
Harlow

Following the success of last month’s opening concert of the season,
Britain’s ace drummin’ man, John Petters, has come up with another
sure-fire hot jazz lineup for Thursday 26th October at the Arc (St John’s
Arts Centre, St John’s Walk, Market St Old Harlow, CM17 0AJ) at 8pm.

David Horniblow one of London’s most in demand jazz clarinettists returns
to front a carefully handpicked traditional jazz quartet.  He has played at
many top venues and festivals throughout the UK, Europe and beyond with
some of Britain’s best loved jazz names.  He is one of very few people to
have performed in the bands of all three of the legendary 3B’s of British
Jazz: Chris Barber, Kenny Ball, and Acker Bilk.  He has also played and
recorded with household names like Jools Holland and Jamie Cullum.  He can
currently be seen on TV as a member of the house band of Colliano’s Club in
the period drama Mr Selfridge and fronting his own highly successful band,
the Dime Notes.

David specialises in interpreting the pioneer New Orleans clarinet players,
including Johnny Dodds, Barney Bigard and Omer Simeon.

Multi-instrumentalist and entertainer, Colin Bray returns, this time on
piano. A favourite amongst regular visitors to the Arc, Colin provides a
unique and eccentric approach to his playing, which has been so much a part
of the UK jazz scene for many years.

Harlow bass ace, Keith Donald and ex Harlow drummin’ man, John Petters
complete this exciting ensemble, which is sure to delight all who attend.
