for something extremely simple and easy to pick up --Wesley Wallace's widely reissued Number 29 
can be slowed down from  6/8  to 3/4  
(it also lends itself to being turned into something like Jelly's JUNGLE BLUES, 
staying on the same change -- subdominant or dominant -- for whole choruses 
though not of course starting till you reach the bar in question.
