Marek might be amused to learn that over half a century ago, when the satirical TV show THAT WAS THE WEEK THAT WAS came on TV, one of the early objects of deserved critical scrutiny  was one Norrie Paramor, whose name appeared, preceded by arr. on so many recordings, and he also had it seemed an orchestra  (see the label on the original 45rpm issue of Acker  Bilk's "Stranger on the Shore" and so much, much more).
He did actually exist, and was plainly regarded by EMI records as a man with some expertise.
The critic on the satirical TV show demurred ...
He was apparently essential to the money coming in for Acker, who would it seems have had even less had Paramor not been allotted the whack his critic that night was sure the ubiquitous hack did not deserve. Amazingly enough this critique is actually mentioned in the Wikipedia page on Paramor.
I suspect the inspiration for the attack was admiration of Acker
ooo arr.,
