[Dixielandjazz] LP question

Jim

Those 16" transcription discs were standard radio fare up to the
introduction of microgroove LPs, which in turn gave way to tapes. Soap
operas, quiz shows and all kinds of music. Many people have an interest
in them, and thousands of jazz tracks from them have been available on
commercial or pirate LPs and CDs. The value of them depends upon the
content - the American wartime TXs in particular were sought after as
they contained music otherwise unrecorded because of the Petrillo ban on
recording. The discs you have seem to be of a holy roller - unlikely to
interest many members of this group (the Australian chapter at least)
but no doubt there is someone, somewhere who would like them. All you've
got to do is find him or her.

Best wishes
Jack
