[Dixielandjazz] John Blegan gives Kansas City Jazz Update

Marek is right to be skeptical, for there is very little traditional jazz to be found in Kansas City. Yes, there is the Majestic, with Bram’s fine stride piano and trio, but it is only at the Gaslight that OKOM is played on any regular basis. The only all-out Dixieland band in the area is the New Red Onion Jazz Babies, but their only regular gig is at the Gaslight on the first Monday of each month. That’s it.
