[Dixielandjazz] Kenny Ball band

Marek,

This is quite common with entertainers.

My wife saw Jack Benny out by the swimming pool back in the 50s. He looked
like an old man. But then she saw his show and he was transformed into a
younger, man with plenty of energy. Lots of entertainers have this type of
charisma where they light up the stage once they are out there.

Could this be a musician's feature?
I saw Hampton in Nice, and he had to be helped to walk on stage. But the
moment he started playing he was transformed from a feeble old man into
Hampton the entertainer. He danced around and spread that old Hampton
magic.
I saw even latr performances on the telly, and it was the same story: from
an old man needing help to walk to fiery, happy entertainer!
Cheers
