My introduction to the music of Dorothy Donegan was hearing an uptempo duet
with Marian McPartland
on Piano Jazz back in the 1980s. I became fascinated with this virtuoso
pianist, even with her quirks.

Marian finished the program by saying, "Oh, Dorothy, you wasted me," to
which her guest responded,
"It was no contest."

There are several Dorothy Donegan performances accessible if you are a
member of Concert Vault,
while I can Dropbox any list member the Piano Jazz program if interested.
