[Dixielandjazz] Movie reviews, etc. on DJML

Often there are topics on the DJML list that don't interest me--I just delete them! Speaking as one person, I found the reviews of PK's Blues and of the Peggy Lee bios to be filled with interesting info and commentary on her and many artists in her life and in the movie. In the 50s I bought many fine records of the Ben Pollack Pick-a-Rib Boys--mostly, the same group as in the movie, but the latter had Nick Fatool on drums. Now I have a CD of the splendid combo. The tabloids cited headliners like Ella and Peggy, understandably, and stopped short of the non-celebrity sidemen. They wrote in a literate manner IMO, for interested popular audiences, not for jazz geeks (I use the term affectionately) like us. I hope we don't narrow the range of postings about jazz.
