Patrice --

Thanks for the update and insight. Red Hot Jazz is/was a useful reference source and introduction.
Restoring and updating the site is a worthy enterprise in my estimation.
The content and mission of Red Hot Jazz and my site vary: the former providing online access to the existing and known body of classic jazz recordings.

My site aims to make available new data:
a large number of never issued, live, broadcast, and recovered audio artifacts, or one-of-a-kind recordings,
investigate and celebrate deserving but lesser-known musicians who have produced a substantial body of original work,
and make fresh examinations of Classic jazz beyond the well established marquis names.

I'm also taking the care to transfer, preserve and notate these materials in compliance with archival best practices as I plan eventual transmission to a well-established university-based sound archive.

I anticipate commercial release of many of these Frisco rarities, from Lu Watters acetates and wire recordings to Janis Joplin singing with Dick Oxtot's band in the near future.
