Greetings --
I've been converting my JAZZ RHYTHM website into an online jazz archive, offering streaming and downloadable audio: mostly unissued or newly recovered from one-of-a-kind audiotape performances. These are very rare materials from the San Francisco jazz revival recorded between c. 1940-75.
In addition, I'm offering interpretive interactive articles and web pages that place the performances in context, such as this article
exploring a unique Bay Area jazz cornet player and personality
The Odd Brilliance of PT Stanton:

This article contains more than 50 audio links (2/3 previously unissued), 6 or 7 previously unpublished photos, and links to pages further investigating Stanton, his music and times:

You are invited to several other newly posted award-winning JAZZ RHYTHM content:
Dick Oxtot
http://jazzhotbigstep.com/486423.html
At the center of San Francisco Bay Area revival jazz from his junior apprenticeship with Yerba Buena Jazz Band to the Swingin’ A’s baseball band, or leading his Golden Age Jazz Band for three decades. Thanks to Darylene Oxtot, rare photos, music and clippings from Dick's personal archives offer fresh views of his life in jazz.
Janis Joplin jazz tapes
http://jazzhotbigstep.com/428723.html
Joplin was taped in 1963 & 1965 with Dick Oxtot jazz bands in the San Francisco area.
A raw young talent, she had an unmistakable feeling for the blues.
Fresh transfers of archival tapes restore missing jazz horn solos.
The Bagatelle jazz club

Newly available historic recordings from this San Francisco jazz joint feature Oxtot's hot little bands of 1958-59 with Ted Butterman (cornet), Bunky Coleman, Clem Raymond, Frank Goudie (clarinets) and Bill Bardin (trombone) among others.
Burp Hollow tapes
http://jazzhotbigstep.com/400333.html
Historic performances from this legendary San Francisco nightspot feature the major talents of the East Bay jazz-revival gang: Bob Mielke, Bill Napier, Dick Oxtot, Pete Allen, Bill Erickson, Bunky Coleman and others.
Yerba Buena Jazz Band acetates
