Does anyone know who ran the site and how to contact them? It seems a shame to lose such an incredible resource. 

Its demise seems to indicate one cannot run it on the donation basis. I have a few ideas as to how it could be run otherwise.
If anyone has any contact info for the owner of the site, please send it my way.
