[Dixielandjazz] Sacramento Music Festival & Jubilee 2014

And don't forget the Side Street Strutters, who manage with four horns
and super arrangements, to sound like a big band. Super tight. We caught
them with Gordon Au sitting in, and it was amazing. He is surely one of
the upcoming luminaries of jazz, so lyrical and sensitive, and the band
is truly magnificent. I'll be there whenever they're appearing. My
highlight of the Jubilee was Ray Skjelbred and his Cubs. He kept saying
over the mike, "I love this band". So do I.

I'm a long time devotee of Kin Cusak on the clarinet, since his Salty
Dog days, and I had several eargasms during their set. Mellow and wonderful.

And, of course, the Midiri Brothers are always astounding. It's still a
Jubilee.
