See note from listmate Dick Broadie of Palm Springs, Cal. He has Tony
Pastor charts, Pastor's alto sax, his first horn etc and lots of other jazz
memorabilia.
If you are interested or have ideas, please contact Broadie.
Good wishes.
Norman

Hey Norm. I've been offline for sometime and am only 1,254,399 djml posts
behind. Tony Pastor Jr. has been a good friend for many many years. I've
acquired all of his dad's big band charts plus a 1919 Conn alto sax (his
first horn), a 1931 Conn Tenor that he used with Artie as well as his own
band and a Selmer clarinet that he purchased in the 1950s. My bride of 45
years insists that our master bedroom closet should contan her shoes rather
than a museum. Do you know of anyone who would be interested in this stuff?
I can't get enough players together to play the charts and the arrangers are
all top notch including many by Billy May.
Sorry to impose on you but I recall our mutual friend Floyd Levin and really
wish he and Lucille were still with us. If I could have convinced Floyd
that Norskog had recorded Tony's 1919 clarinet in LA that year, he would
have been of great help! :) Any suggestions you might have re: the above
would be greatly appreciated.
(I also have Charlie Barnett's studio Master recordings of his last 3
Capitol Sessions cluttering up this closet space) ...and so much more.
