Dear Gary,
For me, it was when Louis Armstrong (and Buster Bailey) joined Henderson at the beginning of October 1924.
Try, the now "old warhorse', "Everybody Loves My Baby", made three weeks after he joined the band.

From what I've read, it certainly shook up New York at the time.
