To who ever posted this originally.  What do you want it to do?

Presumably everyone on the list can read and write. What more do you need. 
Pictures? `friends?` Texts with Wot U doin? and other pithy comments?
If you want to sell your band then this is probably not the place.
This list is designed for the exchange of information, opinions and ideas to 
do with Dixieland
Requests for music, which are frequent, are dealt with expeditiously. 
Information on the minutia of who played what for whom in a back room in 
Chicago on July 3rd in 1926 is supplied quickly and authoritively

Very occasionally a photograph would enhance the text of a message but it 
doesn`t seem to be a major problem.

Why all the angst because the list is not something it was never designed to 
be?
