latest surveys say some 70+% of all Canadians online and over the age
of 35 are on Facebook, but it is a case of a gated community within a
gated community, and some folks just don't like the management (who
are, admittedly, sociopaths)
another alternative is Google+ which perhaps loses even more people
for much the same reasons, however a third option is the yahoo groups
which, while requiring a yahoo account (free) to get into the web
archives I don't think you need to have an account to be subscribed to
a list. Most of my other music-related mailing lists are on yahoo
groups for example
