Actually it would make sense to have a DJML Facebook page in addition to the email list. It would provide an additional mode of interaction for those of us who choose to use it.

There are scores of dixieland jazz musicians and fans on Facebook. Many of the musicians have a fan page in addition to their personal page. Some are more active than others but that is up to the individuals. My own Really Old Records fan page has over 1,000 fans, much to my continuing amazement, from all over the world.

Many musicians, Jon-Erik Kellso, Vince Giordano, Jim Cullum, and Bria Skonberg for example, often post their upcoming gigs and recent performance videos filmed at gigs on their Facebook pages.

A DJML page on Facebook could actually help our list to grow, as jazz fans and musicians who did not know about us learn about DJML by finding and liking our Facebook page.

Just a few thoughts.
