The links above may have some interest to those who
 occasionally reminisce about the years when New Orleans
 jazz had a resurgence of attention.  Alvin Alcorn's name
 came to mind---I found an example of his "sweet" trumpet
 --see link above.  Then I stumbled upon the Yarra Yarra
jazz band of Australia because Alcorn once toured with them
on a visit there.

Simply amazing what can be found via the internet.
