the sartorial art is a form of witchcraft, as much for self-influence as it
is for influencing others, an amulet to both protect against and to invoke
invisible 'spirits' ;)  The scruffies may *think* they are outside of the
game and free, but alas they are not, they're merely playing it badly, and
bound by it nonetheless.
