Experience jazz as it was in the early 1900’s at Jeff and Joel’s House Partyin Guilford, CT Oct. 10-12.  You’ll hear 15 top musicians led by Jeff Barnhart recreating jazz of the era. Joel Schiavone will be hosting at a charming new pond side location with plenty of room for dancing, tables for dining inside and outside. 

On Friday evening there is a special event featuring Molly Ryan and Dan Levinson bringing new life to the old standards of the 20s and 30s, as well as traditional hot jazz numbers to swing with Vince Giordano on bass, Bill Reynolds on drums, and Jeff Barnhart on piano. The show will start at 7pm and is only $30.  (No food will be served but drinks will be available.)

On Saturday and Sunday it’s not just one band, but multiple combinations of musicians blending their talents for 3 sessions of jazz from Ragtime, stride, Dixieland and Swing. 

Another special happening on Sunday afternoon will bring Noel Kaletsky back to join the Anderson brothers for a Triple Treaton reeds. He intends to show the “youngsters" how jazz is supposed to be played.

For the two sessions on Saturday (11am-4pm) ( 5-10pm) and one on Sunday (11am-4pm) Jeff Barnhart will be on piano and directing, Bob Ferguson, Fred Vigorito (Saturday and Sunday afternoons only) and Lew Green (Saturday evening only) on trumpet and cornet; Peter and Will Anderson with Noel Kaletsky (Sunday afternoon only) on reeds; Herb Roselle and Herb Gardner on trombone; Vince Giordano and Genevieve Rose on bass; Tom Palinko and Bill Reynolds on drums and Joel Schiavone on banjo. Fantastic food will be served before the music. Each session is $80 and all three for $225.
