Sac à Pulses' latest CD effort is almost ready for distribution. The
audio has been mixed and mastered, we only have to finish the CD
jacket/pocket/liner notes. But, we also have to decide on a CD title.

Here in France, there is still a strong fascination with New Orleans
thus the selection of tunes for this CD. Our drummer suggested "Big
Easy" for the CD title. I like it, but question if it is a title too
often used. I wonder if it is a bit old hat. Others, argue that Big Easy
is hardly used for New Orleans and we say NOLA more frequently. (The are
French people talking) The last time I was in the State on Jazz
business, I got the impression that Big Easy was still the nickname for
the birthplace of jazz and NOLA was used only when writing about New
Orleans.

What y'all think? Is Big Easy old hat? Too used? Is it still a common
nickname for NOLA? Do non-jazz folk (or, jazz folk) know what Big East
is?

I appreciate your thoughts.

All the best, Gary
