Hi,
I have already mentioned this in my report on the Trad Jazz Meeting in
Poznan (back in 2010, but they still do it): As part of the festival, the
host band holds "Little Academy" (called that because of the venue), where
the band plays for children, with explanations. When I was there, the
yfeatured an 11 year old trombonist!
Towards the end, they invite all children who have any kind of musical
instrumet with them on stage, and play together an impromptu jam session!

I don't know how many kids remain trad jazz fans, but some may be
interested enough to follow it up.
cheers
