This is not the first time I've mentioned Bruce Turner on this list.
Something Steve Voce said about hi many years ago, as quoted by Digby
FAirweather in the liner notes to "Wild Bill DAvison with Freddy Randall
and His Band" has caused me to raise this subject again.  "I know one man
who can beat Bruce at his own game, and as long as tht man stays with Duke
Elloington, Bruce is out on his own!"
I've been telling my friends that for some forty years now, usually adding
"and that includes Benny CArter."
