In the UK In the Mood was wildly popular. It was recorded by Joe Loss with 
Woodchoppers Ball on the `b` side.
I always preferred Woodchopper myself..

Joe Loss was a phenomenon. He adapted his music to changing tastes and 
stayed at the top of the tree all huis working life. Never a `Jazz` band and 
always a little too strict tempo to swing he nevertheless commanded a huge 
following and his band was well rehearsed, looked smart on stage and always
