[Dixielandjazz] RIP Pat Halcox

One of the very best. Full stop. Very underrated, because he stayed
with the same band for over 50 years and did not suffer from
leaderitis. Pat Halcox made very few recordings under his own name; I
am not surre whether there are any recordins besides the Jazzology CD
"Pat Halcox and Friends" (JCD 186). I thought it was included in my
last order, but it was no; it certainly will in my next one (and is
now priced $10, as part of GHB oversock sale). Great lineup, too,
even though Bruce Turner seems to be on clarinet only.
A grat loss, but his music lingers on. Guess I'll play a Chris Barber
record in the late Pat's honour.
Cheers
