I first became familiar with George Duke for his work with Frank Zappa, then heard him touring with Billy Cobham

in early 1976. He came to Chattanooga for an allstar smooth jazz concert in the early 1990s. We did an interview and 

took him to lunch. He was a really funny guy and had a lot of great stories.

 

If anyone is interested, I can share George Duke's appearance on Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz via Dropbox.
