I've always liked Clancy Hayes's vocals on Alcoholic Blues and Ace in
the Hole, but maybe that's the nostalgia talking--I heard the band
live once while they were at Hambone Kellys; they were playing at a
football rally in Berkeley when I heard them--I didn't know the
personnel then so I don't know who I heard do live vocals.
They were pretty much my initiation into the Dixieland/MKOM world, but
mostly from records.
