Dear Ken,
According to Eric Townley's book *Tell Your Story *"Snag It" means, and I
quote the boo, "To 'get it' in the musical sense that 'to snag it' or 'get
it' a musician had to produce some first-rate improvisation in his solo.
derived from the riverboat term meaning to catch something with a
boat-hook."
