[Dixielandjazz] Bill Armstrong memorial -- canceled

San Francisco Bay Area musicians and trad jazz fans may know that there has
been a Memorial Gathering in honor of the late Bill Armstrong, scheduled for
Sunday afternoon, October 21, 2012, at the Sunol Jazz Café in Sunol, CA. It
was being organized by Sharon Swenson.

 

We have just received a phone call from Sharon, telling us that the event
has been cancelled. Apparently the Sunol Jazz Café is in dire financial
straits, and cannot guarantee that the business will still be open nine days
from now.
