Steve;

Many of the Keynote recordings have indeed been reissued on CD on the
Mercury label around 1997 as a "joint project of Nippon Phonogram Co. and
PolyGram Records. They issued 10 CDs under the title "The Essential Keynote
Collection". The CDs are:

1. The complete Lester Young
2. The complete Lennie Tristano
3. Early Bebop
4. Roy Eldridge and the Swing Trumpets
5. The Fabulous Ellingtonians
6. The complete Coleman Hawkins
7. The complete Benny Carter
8. Red Norvo Improvisations
9. The Keynoters with Nat King Cole
10.The Small Herd

Numbers 3, 4, 5 & 8 are in my collection.

Some have been reissued on the Definitive label in 1999. And, at least, one
Lester Young CD on Verve contains a couple of Pres' Keynote sides.

Note: Mercury owned the Keynote masters. Then, Verve bought Mercury and
eventually became part of the Universal Group owned by Vivendi.

All of the Keynote recordings in my collection have been purchased at used
CD stores.
