Hi Bob,
I remember them well although wildest Wiltshire was a bit beyond their 
range. As long as you could hear the engine running( they sounded like a two 
stroke motorbike) you were OK. When the engine stopped the gyros tumbled and 
the V1 dropped a wing and dived to the ground.With 1 ton of explosive in the 
nose.
Miller was killed by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The Wx was 
bad.He was flying through an marked area where aircraft unloaded any bombs 
they had on board. A guy from Bridgewater, about 20 miles from my home was 
on TV one night He said that when they dumped their bombs into the sea he 
looked down and saw Millers plane. Of course he didn`t know that at the 
time.
